donnette and i had this crazy idea that we should take all the kids on one last trip before she went back to work. we loaded all 5 of the kids, 2 month old baby included, and headed for san diego. it was a blast! we didn't tell the kids we were going until the night before- i was literally dying to tell them- i can keep secrets, but not surprises!!!!
after crossing over the bridge which we now call the "unfortunate incident" we were on coronado island. it was breezy and the temperature was barely in the 70's. perfect beach weather. i surprised the kids with their own beach pail full of stuff to play in the sand.
kids were anxious to get into the ocean and we made them stand there for the first picture of the trip.
not gonna lie, i was kinda freaked out by the waves. they wanted to go in deep but i didn't want them to get pulled into the ocean. donnette had the baby strapped to her- if any went in, i would be the one to try to get them out!
do you like my hat? it was huge!

So fun! You'll have to tell me where that beach is, we want to go sometime this summer.
