our valentines week

we had a 4 day weekend in february for president's day and a staff development day- so we wanted to take the kids to disneyland. working out schedules was crazy and we weren't able to go the week we had the 4 day weekend so we went the week before and had lots of days off!

cora, daniel, and their kids went up a couple of days before we did to visit family- this was my first trip going to cali by myself and the boys. we were nervous (i was) but we had our trusty tomtom to guide us there! woke up early- like on the road by 4am early to meet cora. it was such a fun drive with the boys, they are so much easier to travel solo with the older they are getting. 

and we were there in no time!!!!

seriously, one of my most favorite places. austin too. riley, he did better this trip, but he still doesn't like rollarcoasters. he was more willing to try things so that was good. i want to go back. tons of pictures, it is always so hard to put only a couple so i did a ton. :)

day one- we went to california adventure.

 almost to the entrance! we are ready to get in there. we brought our camelbacks with water and lots of snacks- ready with all these kids!

 last time we came, cora was pregnant with jackson. he did so good, such an easy kid!

 austin still doesn't like his picture taken- unless it is his idea.

riley has recently discovered he likes corn dogs. such a strange boy-we love him!

day two- disneyland!!!

had to go straight to the tiki room to get some pineapple whips. i have never had one. never even heard of them until i saw it on the food channel days after we got back from our last trip. i wanted one. more than i wanted anything. i may or may not have had several while there that day. this one is a whip float. oh. my. goodness. so good.

i also tried a mint julep. it was minty! 

 stopped to get a new hat. he's so grown up!

kennedy got a new hat too. 

 is it just me or are the storm troopers kinda hot?!

 and austin still won't go near any characters. but at least he likes rollarcoasters. i'll pick my battles. and hold him for to be in the pictures. i want to go back! i need another pineapple whip....
