riley went to sea camp with gate kids from school. i was a nervous wreck the entire 3 days he was there. my saving grace during that time was his gate teacher sending emails several times throughout the day. my biggest issue with him going is he doesn't eat normal food. we've known since may that he was going so all summer i was trying to prepare him by having him try new foods. his solution.....he knows he won't starve to death in 3 days, so he'll be ok...... my other issue is that this was the first trip he has gone on that i haven't gone with him!!! i'm so glad he had the experience and that it is finally over. so happy to have my baby home!

all the kids at the san diego zoo. i was relieved when i got this picture. he's smiling. looking like he's having fun. it made it easier. in the spring, all the 5th graders are going to pali. i think we'll both be better prepared for that trip!
