cookie exchange

i went to a cookie exchange party last night with some friends and then again today with some family. i love cookie exchanges! usually, i take the extra goodies i get and take them to the girls i visit teach. best idea ever. i don't have to make 20 different kinds and the cookies other people make are really amazing. most anything i don't have to make i find tastes so much better.

so, my cookies! look how pretty! i found this recipe on Facebook. i love thumbprint cookies! and don't worry, i didn't use my thumb to indent the cookies. for some reason it creeps out my husband. i use a 1/2 tsp. spoon. genius. i tried them out on my family over the weekend, i would hate to try a new recipe and have it flop. they loved it so i made them for the cookie exchanges!

you can find the recipe here. it says to bake for 14 minutes. they lie. it took more like 18-19 minutes. or maybe my oven sucks. i used seedless strawberry jam so my mom could have some but found seedless blackberry jam today when i was at the grocery store so i'll be making them again!!!! also, with the glaze, i put it in a ziplock, cut a tiny tiny hole in it and glazed it over top. and used way more than 3 tsp. of the whipping cream. another lie. cookie bakers like to lie so our cookies don't turn out as good as their's. ;)
