st george

we went with the family to st george for the day. it would have been a whole lot better if it wasn't so cold and windy! ok, it was in the 70's but with the wind, i was dying. we went to the bread store- a must stop- although i think this is the first time i have ever been and haven't bought a single loaf. i am still stocked on bread and no room in the freezer!!!!
we went to lunch at golden corral, of course, and they had this neat hand devise for getting out of the bathroom. GENIUS. we need these everywhere!!!!

donnette wanted to go tour brigham young's winter house so that was our next stop. this tree is the first mulberry tree in st george and over 170 years old. you can see the rod they used to keep the tree together after it split into two. and that was a long time ago. the tour was fun, the kids were actually good. did you know most everything in the brigham young house is pine and painted to look like (fill in the blank)???? our guide told us this in every room we went in........seriously, everything is pine. even the bed is pine that they used ox blood to stain it to look not like pine. yeah, the kids loved that tidbit of info.

we went over to the temple after and let the kids walk the grounds, i sat in the truck, it was cold. and windy. then off to crackle barrel then home. it was fun with the kids, but i think i like it best when it's an adult trip so we can really shop and not worry about them. ;) gotta love quick trips to st george.

I am not getting the fill in the blank. You will have to tell me later what it is supposed to be. I am not that quick :) Fun trip, except for the wind. It just ruins everything!
