cousin jacob sent flat stanley to the boys from idaho so we could take him around town with us before sending him to visit someone else. stanley #1 lasted about 15 minutes. i thought it would be fun to take him with us when the boys had their dentist appointments and then we had some other plans that day. yeah, austin was playing with him in the waiting room at the dentist office and he fell behind the couch- the couch that was bolted to the wall. there was no way to get him out. poor flat stanley. and poor austin. he felt so horrid.
fast forward a couple of weeks and received flat stanley #2. i promised to not take him anywhere he would fall and not be able to find. it was a 4 day weekend for the kids for presidents day and also valentines day, so mom and i took all the kids to metro pizza. flat stanley #2 survived!!! and i was happy to pass him along to cora so her kids could try to not lose him.
