no more floaties!!!!

I finally got Riley to try swimming without any floaties this past weekend. He has such a FEAR of the water (that now Austin has too....). This year, so far, he has been wearing one of those body-suit floaties that my sister got for him. Last year, at the beginning of summer, it was a ring around his body and arm floaties. By the end of summer, it was only the ring.

We have been trying to get him out of those things- he can swim, but he is so stubborn, it had to be his idea. He finally decided he wanted to try. Mind you, the boy is over 4 feet tall and can reach the bottom of the pool.

All ready to get in, just had to wait for an adult to get in with him- I so do not swim! My sister got in with her kids to.

Seeing how the water is.

Almost ready to get in; he had to get a picture sitting on the ladder.

Finally in with his cousin Landon. Landon HATES floaties and tried to get out and swim. He is 2. Such a fish! He loves to go under the water and freak me out!!! His sister is the same- she's 1.

Going to the middle of the pool. Walking more than swimming, but he is not afraid, and that's all I wanted was for him to be happy in the water.

He kept closing his eyes in the water! He wants to go get goggles.

Now he and Landon are JUMPING into the middle of the pool!!!

He swam over to me all proud that he finally did it!
